Last wednesday September 2nd, the ship #AAOR (Australian Auxiliary Oiler Replenisher) “SUPPLY” was bid farewell and departed to Australia from the port of Ferrol
This vessel is the first of two vessels of this type, SUPPLY and STALWART, which Navantia builds for the Royal Australian Navy. Its design is based on the current fast combat supply ship “Cantabria” A15 of the Spanish Navy, which started to be used in 2001.
These ships, built in Ferrol, are both a type of vessel designed for fueling, whose main function is a mixture of tanker and supply missions; they provide fuel, food and other supplies to ships belonging to the Royal Australian Navy all around the world.
Fernández Jove Group is proud of collaborating on this vessels with its three brands:
FJ | Integral Supply, takes care of installation and supply of hydraulic piping, hydraulic door systems, remote control systems for valves ( both electric and hydraulic), instrumentation panels, etc.
SAVAL | Marine Valves, in charge of valve manufacture and supply.
HAWKE | Transit System, which takes care of manufacture and supply of transit systems for both cables and pipes.
